Rebekah Fergusson has been a Director, Editor, and Director of Photography on documentary films since 2007. She directed, edited, and was behind the camera on Pelada, which premiered in 2010 at South by Southwest. Pelada won an Outstanding Achievement in Documentary Filmmaking Award from Newport Beach Film Festival and was called "an all-around inspiring doc" by Variety and "close to pitch perfect" by the New York Times. Rebekah played a pivotal role in the independent DVD and theatrical distribution of Pelada. She is currently producing, shooting, and editing short video projects for the web and working behind the camera on documentary projects, including a work in progress about the controversial Proposition 8 court case in California. In the fall of 2011, Rebekah was an invited speaker for TEDx Charlotte in Charlotte, NC, her hometown.
